Overhead Door Company of Joliet (Formerly Middleton Overhead Doors) was founded by Mark Middleton in 1978 and operated out of a two-car garage on Kelly Avenue in Joliet, IL. As the business grew, it became necessary to expand. Mark rented a building on Jefferson Street in Joliet 1984, and his father, Bill, came on board to assist with sales. Continued success led the company to move to its current location on Meadow Avenue in 1987.
