Signs and Symptoms of Chlamydia
Oklahoma HIV & Hepatitis Planning Council (OHHPC) is an advisory body that helps the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Sexual Health, and Harm Reduction Service in preventing the spread of HIV, Hepatitis, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, and other STDs.
Chlamydia is a common Sexually Transmitted Disease that is caused by bacterial infection. Chlamydia is hard to diagnose since many people who contract it don’t show any signs or symptoms, such as genital pain and discharge from the vagina or penis.
Many people who have chlamydia don’t develop any visible chlamydia symptoms, but can still spread from one person to another through sexual contact. Those who do develop Chlamydia symptoms may experience genital pain and discharge from the vagina or penis. If you believe that you have symptoms of Chlamydia, get it checked with a doctor immediately.
