The Mad Potter Paint-your-own-Pottery Studio was founded in April 1998 by Meredith McCord, with its first studio in the River Oaks Shopping center on West Gray. By the fall of 1999, The Mad Potter opened its second location in the Woodway/Voss area. And in 2002, The Mad Potter opened its third location in the Meyerland/Bellaire area.
